Traditional Actions/Indications:

  1. Releases the Exterior and expels Wind-Heat
    Warm Diseases with fever and chills, cough, sore throat and catarrh
    Burns, acne, dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, boils and wounds
    Insect bites, also an insect repellent
  2. Clears Heat from the Heart and Liver and calms the Shen
    Emotional instability, restlessness, anxiety, worry, depression and palpitations
    Suppressed emotions, especially anger and compulsions
    Insomnia due to stress, anxiety and nagging thoughts
    Fatigue, insomnia, hot flashes, night sweats
    Hypertension (on pillows)
  3. Promotes smooth flow of Liver Qi
    Dysmenorrhoea, pre-menstrual syndrome, anxiety during childbirth
    Headaches and migraines
    Muscular spasms and tightness, aches and pains
  4. Diffuses Lung Qi
    Chest tightness of a nervous origin, Running Piglet Qi

Cautions: Caution in bleeding (can be anti-coagulant).

Blends with: Bright, citrus oils like Bergamot or herbaceous essential oils like Marjoram or Basil
