Traditional Actions/Indications:
- Clears Heat from the Heart and Liver, opens the chest and calms the Shen
Anxiety, restlessness, insomnia, nervous tension, anger in times of crisis or trauma
Imbalance of the Shen and Hun with inability to respond to pressure, lack of purpose or direction and a feeling of running into brick walls
High blood pressure, rapid breathing and heartbeat
Over-stimulation and heat leading to cardiovascular weakness
- Regulates Qi in the Middle Jiao
Cramps, flatulence, nausea, vomiting and indigestion, especially of nervous origin
Cautions: Sensitising in high doses. Frequently adulterated.
