Traditional Actions/Indications:

  1. Warms the Middle Jiao and strengthens the Spleen's production of Blood
    Vomiting and diarrhoea
    Poor appetite
    Cold hands and feet
  2. Promotes menstruation
    Irregular or scanty menstruation
  3. Expels Damp Bi and Damp-Phlegm
    Arthritis, muscular pain
    Bronchitis, catarrh
  4. Kills parasites
    Bacterial, viral, fungal and insect invasion, warts and boils

Cautions: Do not use in massage oil and use with extreme caution in all topical applications as the high carvacrol and thymol content which provides its potent antimicrobial properties also make it a skin irritant. However, this same property makes it effective in treating warts and boils where can kill the infection and erode the lump but avoid applying to surrounding skin. Avoid in Heat or Empty Heat conditions, pregnancy and liver toxicity.

Blends with: Peppermint, Lavender, Basil, Rosemary, Bergamot, Cypress, Cedarwood, and Melaleuca (Tea Tree)
