Herbs
- Initial calculation of formula: £50
Or included as part of an acupuncture session
- Herbs: £40 for 1 week + £5 postage
Based on 2 x 5 g sachets of concentrated powders per day for 8 days; comparable to ~560 g raw dried herbs
This equates to £5 per day or £2.50 per cup; far less than an average coffee, and contains herbs:
- Grown, harvested and processed following traditional methods for each species to ensure their potency
- Inspected for quality control using visual, microscopic and chemical techniques
- Extracted using traditional water based decoction methods, refined to ensure the capture of active ingredients
- Dried into concentrated powders
- Shipped from the internationally recognised manufacturer in Taiwan
- Formulated to meet your individual needs
- Packaged into convenient ready-to-use sachets or tablets
- Includes remote follow ups by text or email and minor modifications.
- Full reviews and major revisions are charged at £35 for a half hour, but can also be included as part of a full acupuncture session. This is usually required after a significant change in symptoms or circumstances which may render the old formula inappropriate.
- Discounts may be applied for long term prescriptions:
- 2 weeks: £75
- 1 month: £145
- Both with £5 postage
- Large formulas and higher dosages, if needed, may require additional charges to meet with costs. Usually this will involve taking three times per day at a 50% increase in cost.
- Rare or expensive herbs, especially at high dosages, may also require an additional charge. I will inform you of any additional costs prior to ordering.
- Most formulas will be calculated after the consultation and prepared only after payment.
Mitochondrial Optimisation
- An initial block of 10 sessions over 6 months: £1200
Equivalent to £50 per week
- This consists of a suggested schedule of:
- 1 per week for a month
- 1 every fortnight for a month
- 1 a month for the next 4 months
- Additional support by email or messages is also provided.
- Adjunctive treatments (e.g. herbs, acupuncture, massage) require additional charge
Cancellation
- Cancellations or changes to appointment times must be made 48 hours in advance or incur loss of deposit.
- If the appointment can be re-booked and paid in advance, £20 of this cancellation fee can be redeemed against the cost of the new session
- Cancellations made within this time will be waived on production of a doctors certificate or a positive lateral flow or PCR test result
- Not turning up may incur the full price of the session
Insurance
I would advise anyone with health insurance to check if their policy covers acupuncture. Currently the following insurers offer cover for acupuncture from practitioners belonging to my professional body:
BAcC List of Private Health Insurers
In addition people with chronic arthritis should investigate Arthritis Action for the possibility of subsidised treatments.
Since claiming through insurance involves a considerable amount of administration, delays and fees taken by intermediary agents, a fee of £15 is levied for administration.
Methods of Payment
Payment is preferred upfront with via online transfer but I can also accept:
