A typical session, consisting of approximately 20 minutes consultation and 30 minutes of treatment, costs £70. Sessions can be customised to include multiple treatment modalities in longer sessions, if appropriate for your needs. See pricing structure below.

A £40.00 deposit (£20.00 concessions) is required to secure your appointment, to be redeemed against your final fee.

Consultations and Treatments

Chinese medicine is dynamic and the base fee must be paid each week, in order to reassess the current state of the condition, develop a new strategy, and covers the administration and setup for your session.

In order to schedule, the number of treatments taken together must be decided in advance.

Packages

If you are seeking a course of treatment, I offer some package deals to help with the overall cost:

Packages are paid for in advance and all sessions must be taken within the allotted time. Sessions that fall outside the time frame are non-refundable.

Herbs

In addition to the fees outlined above for consultation (£40) and calculation of a herbal prescription (£30), the herbs themselves are sold at a cost of:

Cancellation

Insurance

I would advise anyone with health insurance to check if their policy covers acupuncture. Currently the following insurers offer cover for acupuncture from practitioners belonging to my professional body:

In addition people with chronic arthritis should investigate Arthritis Action for the possibility of subsidised treatments.

Since claiming through insurance involves a considerable amount of administration, delays and fees taken by intermediary agents, an additional £5 administration fee is required, making a standard session £75. Most insurers currently pay up to £60 per session, meaning that a £15 shortfall must be paid by the client.

Methods of Payment

Payment is preferred upfront with via online transfer but I can also accept:

  • Cash
  • Bank Transfer
