Traditional Actions/Indications:
  1. Tonifies the Kidneys, strengthens Yang and augments Jing
    Kidney Yang Deficiency with impotence, and sore and weak lower back and lower extremities

  2. Nourishes Lung Yin, transforms Phlegm and stops bleeding
    Lung Yin Deficiency with chronic cough and wheezing
    Consumptive coughs with Blood-streaked sputum
    Asthma due to Kidney and Lung Deficiencies

Suggested Daily Dosage: 3-15g in decoction.

Originally a Tibetan medicine mentioned in the 15th century Ten Millions of Instructions: a Relic by Zurkhar Nyamnyi Dorje (Boesi & Cardi, 2009). Its traditional Tibetan energetics are sweet (mngar mo) and salty (lan tshwa ba), its post-digestive taste is sweet, its potency is unctuous (oily; snum) and hot (drod). The fungus has the properties of increasing the energy of the body, of restoring semen functionality, and of increasing its production. It also increases kidney strength and heat, it cures all the disorders caused by unbalance of
the humor wind (rlung nad) and the disorders caused by unbalance of the humor bile (mkhris nad). It also prevents increasing of the humour phlegm (bad kan).
