Traditional Actions/Indications:
- Clears Heat and resolves Toxicity, cools the Blood and stops bleeding
Cough due to Lung Heat
Vomiting blood
Burns and scalds, knocks and falls, swelling and pain
Diarrhoea and abdominal pain
Abnormal uterine bleeding, clear vaginal discharge
Poisonous snake bites
- Resolve swelling and expel pus
Scrofula, sores, boils and carbuncles
Red and swollen eyes
Topical for purulent ear infection,
Suggested Daily Dosage: 10-30g in decoction.
Cautions: It is contraindicated to pregnant women and people with deficiency cold. Proper dosage is for external application, pounded into powder for applying.
Interactions:
- Chloroquine: Reduces blood concentration of chloroquine. Paracetamol: Changes in paracetamol pharmacokinetics.
