Traditional Actions/Indications:
- Warms the Kidneys, disperses Dampness and alleviates pain
Kidney Yang Deficiency with Accumulation of Cold or Stagnant Qi with abdominal or flank distention and pain or bulging disorders
Cold-Damp Leg Qi
Suggested Daily Dosage: 3-10g in decoction.
Cautions: It is contraindicated in case of yin deficiency with effulgent fire and Damp-Heat disorders.

- Trigonelline
Most abundant alkaloid with purported hypoglycemic, hypolipidemic, neuroprotective, antimigraine, sedative, memory-improving, antibacterial, antiviral, and anti-tumor activities.
- Scopoletin
Coumarin traditionally used for rheumatic arthritis.
