Traditional Actions/Indications:
  1. Stops bleeding and invigorates the Blood
    Spontaneous external bleeding, vomiting blood

Suggested Daily Dosage: Decocted, mashed or ground into powder for internal use. No upper limit but usually in 7-10g doses powdered, or decoction for washing externally


Notes:

The leaves are also used as the wrapping in kashiwa mochi 柏餅 where the leaf is used to symbolise the prosperity of one's descendants and not eaten.

The acorns of the tree are also used in Korean cuisine.
