Traditional Actions/Indications:
- Tonifies Qi to regulate the body, improve health and resist diseases
Prevention or inhibition of cancer, especially bone, breast and prostate
Suggested Daily Dosage: Harvested while young and cooked for eating as food.
Cautions: Can make some people sick so try a small portion and wait 48 hours before eating a large amount. Avoid harvesting from conifer or eucalyptus as they may absorb toxins from these trees.
Notes:
Besides tastes, only modern information on constituents could be foundsuggesting there is no traditional usage besides as food. It can be inferred from this information that its mechanism is to Tonify Qi, in particular supporting Zheng Qi, in order to maintain correct body functioning and prevent or inhibit pathogens that lead to cancer. This is only my interpretation though.
