  1. Tonifies the Spleen and Stomach
    Indigestion, flatulence
    Loss of appetite
    Low energy
  2. Clears Liver Heat and promotes urination
    Headaches
    High blood pressure
    Dysmenorrhea
    Acid reflux
    Gout and rheumatism
  3. Stops bleeding
    Heavy menses
    Wounds and ulcers

Suggested Daily Dosage: 3-9g of seed, or eaten as a food.


Cautions: A very few can have an allergic reaction to celery. As it is a diuretic large doses can cause faintness in those with low blood pressure.


Notes:

This was first mentioned as a medicine by Celsus in AD30 who used the seeds to relive pain.
