  1. Clears Heat and Detoxifies Poison
    Fever
    Chronic skin diseases, Prickly Heat, Boils
    Burning sensation, Excess Sweating, Thirst
    Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Syphilis (stage 3 and 4)
    Hemorrhage, Hemoptysis from Heat
    Foul body odor
    Regarded as useful to counter effects of pollution
    Applied topically for Hot-Bi pain including rheumatism, lumbago and strains
    Leaf fumes with benzoin are inhaled for Liver excess headaches
  2. Tonifies Heart Qi and Clears Heart Fire
    Palpitations, Cardiac Debility, Fainting
    Excess Heat in the Heart affecting the Shen
    Regarded as Exhilarant in Unani
    Regarded as having a brain and memory tonic effect
  3. Moves the Qi and resolves Stagnation
    Colic, Flatulence, obstinate vomiting
    Dysuria, strangury

Suggested Daily Dosage: 3-6g of powder or 25-50mls juice. Most commonly used as an essential oil.
