Traditional Actions/Indications:
- Cools the Blood, regulates menstruation and stops bleeding
Profuse menstruation
Bleeding due to trauma
- Invigorates the Blood, alleviates pain and dissipates swelling
Pain and swelling from knocks and falls, fracture
Suggested Daily Dosage: 3-9g in decoction, or pounded fresh and applied topically.
Cautions: Often believed to be toxic, it is in fact not although over-consumption may cause nausea, diarrhoea and vomiting.
