: Qiduan : Qi Extremity

Ex-LE-12 : Extra Lower Extremity 12


Location:

On the tips of the ten toes, approximately 0.1 cun from the fingernail.


Needling:

Prick to bleed. This may be followed by moxibustion.


TCM Actions:

Relieves swelling and pain of the foot
Opens the portals and revives consciousness.

TCM Indications:


Neuroanatomy:

Superficial Innervation: Dorsal digital nerves from fibular, tibial and sural nerves, originating from the sciatic (L4 - S2).

Dermatome Segment: Big toe: L4; middle toes: L5; little toe: S1.
