Glossary

A group of points that are the same as the Shu-Stream points on yin channels where they are indicated for any disorders of the Zang while on the yang channels they are indicated for draining excess pathogenic factors from along their channels. Their uses include:

• Selecting the Yuan-Source point and Back-Shu point (背俞穴) of a particular Zangfu Organ system and reducing or tonifying as required.
• Pairing the Yuan-Source point of the primarily affected channel with the Luo-Connecting point (絡穴) of the of its Interior-Exterior pair (Guest-Host method).
