Pattern: Waning of the Ming Men Fire leading to Deficiency Cold of the Essential Qi

Key Symptoms: Impotence or infertility, listnessness and dispiritedness, aching and weakness of the lower back, pale shiny complexion

Tongue: Submerged and thin


Ingredients

Zhi Fu Zi 60g
Rou Gui 60g
Rou Cong Rong 120g
Ba Ji Tian 120g
Yin Yang Huo 120g
She Chuang Zi 60g
Jiu Cai Zi 120g
Xian Mao 120g
Shan Zhu Yu 120g
Du Zhong 120g
Shu Di Huang 240g
Dang Gui 180g
Gou Qi Zi 180g
Bai Zhu 240g

Subsitutions:
In the UK Fu Zi must be substituted with increased Rou Gui and Gan Jiang, or other Yang tonics that fit the presentation more precisely.


Preparation: Grind the ingredients into a powder and form into pills with honey. Take 3-9g twice per day. May also be prepared as a decoction with a reduction in dosage.


Actions: Warms and tonifies the Kidneys
