Superficial Visual Obstruction
Li Shizhen recommended making an elixir with Jade to lighten the body and attain immortality. Used as an eyewash it brightened the eyes and treats blindness. To do this he recommends wrapping 30g of green jade in a toad skin until it dissolves into a liquid essence. This is then cooked together with rice and 30g of Di Yu.

Often used in making Gua Sha tools, especially on the face
Suggested Daily Dosage: 30-150g in decoction, or used externally.
Cautions: Should be cleansed thoroughly of any pathogens it absorbs between uses.
