Glossary
Six Desires (六欲, Liu Yu)
The six desires arise from the six senses (六感, Liu Gan). They are:
- Eyes (眼, Yan)
- Nose (鼻, Bi)
- Mouth (口, Kou) or Body (身, Shen)
- Tongue (舌, She)
- Ears (耳, Er)
- Thought (意, Yi)
These give rise to the
Seven Emotions which then colour the perception of our world through our sense of self awareness (自觉), sense of feeling (感觉), sense of knowing (知觉) and our state beyond senses (无觉).
