Category: Formulas that Expel Dampness

Pattern: Early stage Damp-Warmth (with Damp predominating) at Wei and Qi levels in all three Jiao

Key Symptoms: Afternoon fever, fatigue, heavy sensation in the body, stifling sensation in the chest or upper abdomen
Secondary Symptoms: Chills or cool extremities, headache, pale yellow complexion, generalised pain, loss of appetite, absence of thirst

Tongue: White coating
Pulse: Wiry, thin, soggy
Abdomen: Fullness in the diaphragmatic area


Ingredients

Zhi Ban Xia 15g
Xing Ren 15g
Hou Po 6g
Bai Dou Kou 6g
Yi Yi Ren 18g
Tong Cao 6g
Dan Zhu Ye 6g
Hua Shi 18g


Preparation: Decoction.


Actions: Disseminates the Qi, facilitates the Qi dynamic, clears Damp-Warmth from all Upper Jiao, Middle Jiao and Lower Jiao.

Contraindications: Shoayang stage Cold Damage disorders, Yin deficiency, internal clumping in the intestines
